right in here all that want to participate in the climbing idea......
what it consists in:
a group of 7-8 ppl get together one weekend and climb to the hight of 1km onto walls of 12m (meaning +/- 10 cilmbs each)
of course the pint is to be sponsored while we do this

other than this, there will be an entry fee at the climbing place, but when we do this its not only for fund raising it will also be a lot of fun!

I was thinking of doing it in 2 weeks time (if those interested feel ready for it)

PostSubject: Re: Climbing   29/11/2006, 5:39 pm

good, now I have to start deciding when to do this.....I actually fer that it will be hard to organise before the holidays, (meaning that the only we that could be interesting (16-17dec) might be hard to do for a lot of people with all the christmas holidays+exams getting ready.)

on the other hand this will leave us more time for getting sponsors!

anytways here are the coordinates of the place we will be going to when we do this:

Address:
Chemin de Mont Saint-Jean 83
1420 BRAINE-L'ALLEUD
(iknow its far)

http://www.altitudeccm.be(the site is not very well made)
entrance fee will be wery samall or inexistent wheras the material will be +/-5e a person

I'm in, though I don't really know how to find sponsors. It's not a French tradition, more of an English thing.

I've mocked up a rather simple sponsorship form, so those of you who can't be bothered to make one, just contact me by e-mail and I'll send you the file.

PostSubject: SPONSORSHIP   30/12/2006, 10:28 pm

Is anybody else having problems getting sponsorship for this event?

Nobody I've asked seems to be taking it seriously and they reckon it's just an easy, fun thing to do. I've tried explaining to them the endurance required for around 10 climbs in one session but they don't think it's enugh of a challenge. Crying or Very sad

On the bright side: They seem content with the 10k run idea so I should be able to get some decent support from people when that rolls around. sunny

i'm sorry for you id didn't work, anyways I got a big load of money between sponsoring for this and some personal fund raisning (i can't say exactly how much I got for each, i was just junking all the money together) anyways, you can still get a little something from the first week back in school,

eventually the climbing should take place this saturday!!!

Ill get the time fixed as soon as possible, meanwhile if anyone needs a lift i think I can bring a few ppl to the place but warn me please.

PostSubject: Re: Climbing   8/1/2007, 7:48 pm

to make it clear: yes the climbing is taking place this saturday!!! yes, you were meant to find sponsors (all participating) and yes, i can give some ppl who need it a ride home/to the place!

right, this has been established i need to know who I can count on to come, (apart from adam and hugo which are the only two that seem understand that I need to know who is coming and if they have or not preferences for the times)

I hope this was enlightening for all who got lost throughout the messages!

PostSubject: Re: Climbing   13/1/2007, 3:54 pm

oh sht, my mistake, I had completley forgotten to update this post, sorry hugo and shane it slipped out of my mind, anyways here are the last info (copied and pasted the mail)

right, I have been asked to move the climbing back to the 11th of february, giving to those who did not find the time to find their sponsors to do it.

Personally I have no problem whit this apart from the fact that (12/12/2006, 11:04 pm) this is when the time was posted.....

I hoped this would take less time but anyways whoever has any problem with that time warn me straight away!!(i.e. not in one month)

Thank you to all who already got their sponsors...for the others get moving the clock is ticking!!

and to put it also clearly, whoever is coming it is imperative to tell me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
